A Mother’s Love
September 9th, 2011
You know you’re in love when…
You sneak into his room late at night, just to watch him sleep.
Your heart swells when he smiles, coos, chortles, snorts …dang, when he does just about anything.
When you make the world wait while you lovingly chop up his personally steamed array of veggies.
You lay in bed and “Oooo!” and “aaah!” over pictures of him since you haven’t seen him in, oh 1.5 hours.
You love the way he throws his chubby little arms around your neck and buries his head in your shirt, clinging to you like a baby koala while you do the dishes.
Your favorite sound is the incessant “mamama ma mama” you hear…when you are a room away.
There isn’t anything quite like the love between a mommy and her son.
…except maybe the love between a daddy and his daughter.
