My Morning Routine

This week I have established a morning routine that I am LOVING!! I detailed my routine below and let me tell you, getting my workout in first thing has really helped jumpstart my day and gets me showered, dressed, and ready to bring on the day before my little one even wakes up…perfect!!

Morning Routine

  • 5:40    1st Alarm: Just starting to wake up
  • 5:50    2ndAlarm
    • Change into workout clothes
    • Eat a piece of fruit/Fill waterbottle
  • 6-7      Cardio & Strength Session
  • 7:10    Shower + Dress + Makeup
  • 7:40    Make Coffee
    • Breakfast w/Emma
  • 8:00   Finish Getting Ready + Tidy
    • Dry Hair/Brush Teeth
    • Make Bed/Tidy Bathroom
  • 8:30   To-Do List + Household Tasks:
    • Cooking/Baking
    • Cleaning
    • Laundry
    • Organizing

Now the challenge is making my morning routine an ingrained habit. Habits are hard because they take time and patience to establish. Life is sooooo unpredictable with late nights of teething babies, caffeine induced insomnia, extra work assignments, etc…however, I’d like to make the days I don’t get my sweat session in and am not dressed and ready to go early the exception, not the standard. That’s my goal. I’m not aiming for perfect, just pretty darn consistent and considering that I am not naturally a morning person, this should be interesting :) .

What does your ideal morning look like? What little tweaks could you make to your morning routine to start being the person you want to be and living the life you’ve always wanted?

Hey, so my challenge is fitting in that AND time with the Lord before going to work. That’s why I’ve permanently pushed work-outs to the evening after work. When do you have your devotional time now?

Would love to see you! Sounds like you must be feeling better :)

    much love,

    Hey T!
I can sooo understand your challenge :) . It’s funny, but I actually changed my routine to working out in the morning so that I could have Emma’s naptime (1-3 like clockwork) to be sure to get my bible time in. it just works better that way
(at least for now) because I have more energy to workout 1st thing in the mornign than I do midday, Midday I want to sit down and put my feet up, so bible time works well then, but really anytime works as long as you make it happen, which if you want it enough, you will :) . Schedules are always changing you know?! You just have to adapt and work with it…as you have gotten quite good at!! When we have baby number two I know my schedule will change again!!
    love you!!
    K
