This weekend we hit up the farmer’s market for some fresh produce. The market was buzzing with energy and it felt great to be outside in the sun (though Emma doesn’t look especially thrilled ).
It was a beautiful, blue-sky day, not a cloud in the sky!!!
Boxes, crates, and barrels were brimming with tender, freshly-picked carrots; ripe, juicy peaches and nectarines; crisp green beans; zucchini the size of a baseball bat; and piles of potatoes, corn on the cob, tomatoes, and fresh herbs.
I LOVE these little picket signs.
Gorgeous bouquets of wildflowers.
When we arrived home, we promptly put little guy down for a nap, he was tired, though in sweet spirits! Check out that tummy .
Once Ashton was down, I washed, trimmed, and bagged up my carrots, green beans, and zucchini…
These puppies were five for a buck!!! And they are HUGE!! Hello Zucchini Bread!!!
Made a quick snack…
…and steamed Steve, Emma, and I up 3 beautiful ears of corn.
I’m excited to enjoy these fruits and veggies all week long!! Hope you are having a wonderful start to your week!!
