Monday Planning

Tomorrow morning is Monday and the perfect time to get back into some healthy habits-habits of the heart, soul, body, and mind. So, let’s see where we’re at and set a few goals.

For one, my time in the bible and prayer has been lacking for sure. So, my goal this week is to make bible time my number one priority each day. A messy kitchen can wait, but the Lord should not.

Second, I have not been feeding my body (or my husband and toddler’s) the way I should be! I have a fridge stocked with healthy food (tons of veggies and fruit!!) and I plan on making some nice chicken veggie stir frys and whole wheat pasta dishes this week and doing lots of veggie sides with whatever we may be eating. No more pizza and twice baked potatoes for me!!

Third, I need to get back into weekly dinner planning, so I know what we will eat each night. This definitely helps me feed Emma more healthfully because I can get dinner started sooner and feed her veggies while she is still hungry and will actually eat them. This will also ensure that she is getting lots of fresh produce in rather than canned since that can tend to add lots of sodim.

Fourth, I am going to begin organizing my home from top to bottom. This will be a Fall and Winter project as well, but I’m eager to get a jump start now so that I can start sewing and scrapbooking a little-I am learning how to sew very slowly and am not a huge scrapbooker, but Emma’s little life definitely deserves its own book…0-2 is an important time!!

Finally (or fifthly?), EXERCISE!! Yikes, this has been lacking too! Let’s see, it must be summer for sure. But, no excuses, time to hit the gym for a regular workout schedule-my body and energy level will thank me!
