Here is a little peek at Ashton’s bedding. The room is just about complete! We’ve painted, put up chair rail, hung curtains, assembled the changing table…wow, the list goes on and on and we’re still not finished!!! Luckily, I think that all the major projects are done and if he were to come today, we’d be pretty well set…though I still need to buy some newborn diapers!!! My shower was last weekend, and I must say, my sister and sister-in-laws outdid themselves in all the party prep!!! My favorite part was these tiers of sweets they handmade…chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with blue buttercream frosting and sugar cookies in the shape of onesies with two shades of blue icing and pearl “buttons.” So stinkin’ cute. The games were really fun too, led by my sis!! and Margie Lou’s backyard looked awesome. It’s such a beautiful venue for special parties with a rose garden, open covered patio, beautiful pond with Koi, and lots of green grass and landscaping. Such a perfect backdrop for the occasion!! 

Steve and I made a delicious meal tonight of steak with a special rub, fresh corn on the cob, green salad with a new Champagne dressing (Girard’s…so tasty!), and cornbread with butter and honey. It was SOOOOO good!!! Now we are trying to get Emma down so we can have a little time to ourselves to hit the hot tub. (FYI…we keep it below 100 when I’m pregnant, tonight it’s like 97 degrees since it’s a tad muggy out. Completely safe when the temp is controlled.)
