Emma just went down for her nap, so I’m heading down to fit in a little workout before Steve gets home. I thoroughly enjoyed all the delicious Thanksgiving foods + leftovers (enjoyed yesterday), which I accompanied with a little green salad and cuke. Didn’t bring any of my pecan pie home, because one slice is really quite enough for me during the holidays. It is rich!! I took just a bit of each: half of a homemade roll, turkey with cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, and leafy greens
. Yummers!!

My Southern Pecan Pie.

Today I started in on normal, non-holiday food. I try to get back to my regular routine as soon as possible after indulgent holidays so that I can enjoy the holiday season…and still zip up my pants come January
. Breakfast was wheat chex with banana + coffee with creamer and a little raw sugar.

Aren’t these cute?! They are little stainless steel storage containers. They’ve been super handy with all of the holiday baking!!! I keep Sugar, Oats, Brown Sugar, and Raisins within easy reach!! My friend Jill had the clear set and I loved them so much, I had to check them out and since I had two gift cards that needed to be used
I went ahead and purchased the stainless steel set. Love Target!!!

I was looking through some late summer pics on our hardrive last night, and flagged a few that I hadn’t yet posted. These are from my childhood and college friend Kate Hanson’s beautiful wedding to David Varvel.
This is the bachelorette dinner held at Leavenworth’s cool Mexican joint called “South.”
